Changing shaft length is one of the quickest ways to change how a dart flies, and it costs very little. A short shaft holds the flight close to the barrel and keeps the dart direct; a longer one puts the drag further back and gives the tail real lift.

The spread here runs from 23mm to 65mm, which covers everything from a flat, driven throw to a pronounced arc. Material decides how the shaft holds up: nylon and polycarbonate flex under a strike and cost little to replace, aluminium locks the flight at a fixed angle, titanium does the same while springing back from an impact, and carbon adds stiffness at very low weight.

Several systems lock the flight rather than gripping it by friction, which removes the loose-flight problem that interrupts more matches than anything else. Spring rings and shaft rings are stocked alongside and extend the life of every shaft in the range.
