Five weights on one barrel, from 22g to 30g, and the Ion handles that spread better than most — 6.25mm at the light end, still only 7.2mm at 30g.

Holding 30g inside 7.2mm takes both the 95% tungsten and the full 52.8mm length working together. A 90% alloy or a shorter barrel would push this past 8mm, and at that point three darts start genuinely crowding each other in the treble. So this is the range to look at if you want to throw heavy without giving up board space.

The steps are even, roughly a quarter millimetre per two grams, which makes moving up or down the range predictable — the barrel feels like the same dart throughout, just fractionally thicker.

Straight profile, centre weighted, with a moderate 2.5 out of 5 grip. Nothing about it forces a particular throw.
