Michael Smith Series II Turbo Point - 90% Tungsten Steel Tip Darts

The Shot Michael Smith Series II Turbo Point is a steel tip dart set built on a 90% tungsten straight barrel, developed with Shot alongside PDC World Champion Michael Smith. It replaces the original Michael Smith series with a redesigned barrel that carries a sandblasted finish, a ring grip running the full length, and a bullnose front end. The Shot Turbo interchangeable point system is fitted as standard, and the set is sold in 22g, 23g, 24g and 25g.

Because the barrel is 90% tungsten rather than brass or nickel-silver, the same weight sits in a slimmer profile — 6.5mm across at 22g through to 6.8mm at 25g — which leaves more space in the board when darts land close together. Barrel length is 49mm from 22g to 24g and 50mm at 25g, and the balance is centre weighted, spreading the mass evenly under the fingers instead of pulling forward or back, which suits a mid-barrel grip and a level release.

The ring grip is cut tighter through the centre with milled rings at the front, giving fixed reference points for finger placement at a grip level of 3 out of 5 — enough texture to hold securely without dragging on release. The Turbo points screw in and out using the included tool, so a bent or blunt point can be swapped rather than the barrel retired, and the thread also accepts Target Swiss, Winmau Switch, Harrows Quick and Mission Rapid points if a different point length or finish is preferred.
