Finish Line and the Javelin share a barrel — both 49.8mm, both 6.8mm to 7.3mm — and the difference is entirely in shape and grip. This is the straight one, with the firmer cut at 3 out of 5.

So the question between them is simple. A straight barrel leaves your hand free to sit wherever suits, and relies on the grip to hold it there; the scalloped Javelin dips to give you a seat and needs less bite as a result. If you know where you hold a dart and want it to stay put, this is the one.

At 49.8mm the barrel sits just under the 50.8mm standard, which brings the balance point marginally closer to the hand and makes it quick to pick up.
